The Ministry of Agriculture has shared updates on several programs available to support Saskatchewan farmers and ranchers in 2025:

✅ AgriStability – Protection against production loss, increased costs, and market conditions. Compensation rate increased to 90% this year and maximum payment doubled to $6 million.
✅ AgriInvest – A producer-government savings account to help with immediate cash flow concerns.
✅ 2025 Crown Grazing Lease Reduction Program – Rental credits available for lessees who reduce stocking rates due to ongoing dry conditions. Deadline to apply: October 31, 2025.
✅ Livestock Price Insurance – Protection against unexpected drops in livestock prices.
✅ Advance Payments Program – Low-interest livestock cash advances, with the interest-free limit raised to $250,000 for 2025.
✅ Federal Livestock Tax Deferral – Allows producers in prescribed drought or flood regions to defer a portion of sale proceeds.
✅ Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program – Funding for new wells, pipelines, dugouts, and more, with up to 50% of eligible costs covered (maximum rebate of $75,000).
