Industrial and Resource Use Standards

Date:
Industrial and Resource Use Standards

The proposed Zoning Bylaw contains more detailed standards for aggregate operations, oil and gas activity, waste facilities, salvage yards, hazardous storage, work camps, batch plants, cannabis production and intensive livestock operations. Depending on the use and district, Council may consider access, haul routes, setbacks, screening, dust, noise, water, traffic, safety, reclamation and impacts on neighbouring land. Clear standards help applicants understand expectations and allow the RM to address site-specific impacts.

Formal representations on the proposed bylaws may be made at the October 22 public hearing.
