Recreational Vehicles as Principal Accommodation

Date:
Recreational Vehicles as Principal Accommodation

The proposed OCP recognizes that, in some districts, an RV may be considered as principal seasonal accommodation without requiring a permanent dwelling. Approval would be discretionary, with a one-time development permit and compliance with servicing, siting and annual service-fee requirements. The proposal is intended to distinguish an approved occupied RV site from unoccupied RV storage. Council is seeking feedback on whether this approach reflects how properties are used in the RM and whether the proposed safeguards are appropriate.
