The proposed OCP supports a broader range of housing so residents can find options that fit different ages, household sizes and levels of care. This may include secondary suites, garden or garage suites, care homes, modular homes and manufactured homes where zoning and servicing allow. The policy does not approve every form of housing on every lot. It directs the Zoning Bylaw to provide appropriate locations and standards. More housing choices may help families remain close together and allow residents to stay in their communities as their needs change.
