Liquid Strychnine Update

The RM of Mervin has received an update from AgroMax Distributors Inc. regarding the production and distribution of 2% Liquid Strychnine Concentrate.

AgroMax continues to experience difficulties obtaining raw material from India due to rising energy costs, extreme weather and shipping disruptions related to the conflict in the Middle East.

Unfortunately, AgroMax advises that the product is unlikely to arrive before the application window ends on September 1.

The company is now working to secure raw material later this year, with the goal of distributing product during the winter to locations with suitable storage facilities. AgroMax expects to be ready for the spring season from February through April.

We understand this is disappointing news for our agricultural ratepayers. The RM will share further information as soon as AgroMax confirms a shipment and provides an updated distribution timeline.
