Dust Control Application Form

Use the following form to apply for dust control in the RM of Mervin No. 499.

If all eligibility criteria are satisfied and the application is supported by the RM Foreman and Division Councillor, the RM will apply dust control at no cost to the applicant. If even one criterion is not met, the full cost will be solely the responsibility of the property owner. Approximate owner-paid cost is $700 per application for up to 1,720 square meters (200m in length).

Eligibility Criteria

Residential Criteria

Home is within 150 m of the gravel surface.
Road is not slated for paving or oiling within a 3-year projection.
Traffic impact is significant and recognized by the RM Foreman and Division Councillor.
Significant impact is considered 8 heavy loads per day or more.

Commercial Criteria

High-traffic unpaved roads.
High volume of seasonal traffic.
Road is not slated for paving or oiling within a 3-year projection.
Assessment considers adjacent properties, intersections, heavy haul routes, priority routes, safety concerns, and visibility.
Traffic impact is significant and recognized by the RM Foreman and Division Councillor.

Cost Responsibility

If all applicable criteria are met and the application is supported by the RM Foreman and Division Councillor, the RM will apply dust control at no cost to the applicant.
If even one applicable criterion is not met, the full cost of the dust control application will be solely the responsibility of the property owner.
